Stupid mis-adventures in Firefox

Sometimes I appear to be an intelligent and clever person. This is not the case. Dear reader, please be assured that I truly am a numpty or – as Pooh Bear would have it perhaps – I am a cleric of no brain at all.

Every so often, I do what I call a Cookie Purge in Firefox. That is to say, I go through the cookies I have acquired and remove any for sites I do not recognise or use frequently (you know the thing, you click a link to read a newsitem/blog post somewhere and end up with various cookies often sucked in from widgets embedded on the sites). I did one of these yesterday but stupidly misclicked. When I had highlighted a site whose cookies I wished to remove, I managed to click Remove all cookies not Remove cookies. Boom! All cookies obliterated! No invitation to confirm such a reckless, stupid and destructive click. (Of course, this is a UI issue for Firefox and in Twitter terms… #Firefox #FAIL)

Interestingly, the only real annoyance thus far is that I have to setup my home location and favourite locations on the BBC Weather site.
