The best smart phone for Linux users … runs Windows Mobile?

[Ref 1 Ref 2]

Something was pointed out to me since I posted this morning on the subject that I think is deeply ironic.

Apparently, the SynCE framework works incredibly well, allowing Windows Mobile smart phones to be synchronised with Evolution – and other desktop applications.

So, if running Windows isn’t a problem for you, that’s a possible answer to my big question. However, the general technical superiority of Linux isn’t the only reason I run it, there are ideological reasons that I don’t run Windows and these apply equally to my phone as to my desktop machines.
